Holly Dyre was born on Kaua’i and lives in Namahana Farms with her husband and her 2 daughters who attend Kilauea Elementary School. She has also lived in Kobe, Shanghai, and New York City prior moving back home to raise her family.

Along with the Namahana Farms Community Association and Design Committee, Holly currently sits on the Boards of the Kaua‘i Watershed Alliance and Namahana Charter School.

Her passions include surfing, studying hula, coaching soccer, sewing, and free diving. She is deeply committed to the Namahana Farms Community and dedicated to carry on her late father’s dream and vision.

Bill and Suzy purchased their Namahana Farms property in 2014. Bill is retired from a chemical engineering career with Air Products & Chemicals. Although they have been part-time residents so far, they will be full-time starting in January 2024 when Suzy retires and moves off of the farm in Missouri.

Carla moved to Kaua‘i in 2011 with her husband and two children from Richmond, Virginia. She and her family are those people that come on vacation and say they want to live here and actually did it! They didn't want to look back in ten years and say "what if".

During her professional career Carla was the general manager of a premium countertop company. Over her tenure the company grew from $200,000 in annual revenue to over $7,000,000.

Since moving to Kaua‘i she has become an avid tennis player. She also enjoys pickleball, mahjong, growing anthuriums, and is learning how to play bridge. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and is a huge Wildcat Basketball Fan.

Joseph M. George spent his entire 33 year career working in commercial real estate in both capital markets at leading financial institutions, as well as with investment managers buying large commercial real estate properties. The first half of his career was spent in New York City before relocating to California, where he continued his work.

Mr. George has financed several commercial real estate properties in the Hawaiian Islands, including the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, Mana Lani Resort and Hapuna Resort on the Big Island, the Kahala Resort on Oahu and the Safeway Shopping Center on Kaua‘i.

He received both his B.A and M.B.A. from the University of Michigan. He and his wife Martha purchased their Namahana Farms home in 2010.

Design Committee

Michael R. Schmidt is one of the first Namahana Farms' owners since 2002. Michael is the Principal Broker of Bali Hai Realty, Inc. which assisted Mr. Ben Dyre in the creation of home sites and original developer sales. He is very familiar with the project and constantly promotes the "Good Neighbor" policy unique to Namahana Farms. Michael and his family reside near the beach in the Hanalei area.
